I'm not talking 1000's level enemies but the content people actually play, max 250 SP enemies maybe. In E3 2018, DE has confirmed that this is one of the best quest-lines that they have worked on. Being in melee range without active CC does make Excalibur take a lot of damage, and slash dash doesn't make you immune to shield damage, so either adding more health/armor and/or allowing for either some mitigation/healing while doing melee combat in my opinion is the solution.Įxcalibur is far more viable in high level content with a decent amount of health+armor with some ability to regenerate health. You will be rewarded with the Excalibur Umbra Warframe upon completing this quest. I think a more reasonable solution would be to make Excalibur tankier than adding an umbral redirection. Shield gating already functionally breaks the meta on high end content, and full umbral mods don't make health+armor tanking viable on warframes it should like Excalibur. Except health-frames still very highly benefit from Umbra set. It's nice when we have opportunity to play as decent shield-tanking frames. I definitely like the idea of eidolon-themed frame to be Umbra (and to NOT have basic nor primed versions). Game is way too gated for health/armor tanking. The leading Warframe trading platform for tenno, where you can buy and sell vaulted & unvaulted items along with Waframe sets, Parts, Weapons, Mods, Relics. In some other Thread fairly recently, i proposed simply adding another Shield Gate for every _ extra Shield Capacity. ![]() Having Mods/Arcanes or whatever to be able to affect Shield Recharge Delay is super important indeed, Shields will always be mediocre at best until we are able to Mod that particular Number. this both creates new Content to grind for, and doesn't upset anyone else while offering the ability to actually spec into Shields. I don't think we need to take things away that currently work for more than just Shields. Health having permanent damage reduction with armor, shield can have build up damage reduction and more reliable recharge. Like making Adaptation both build up damage reduction for shield and and reducing shield recharge delay. Maybe making Adaptation a shield mod, and buff it to make it more reliable.
